Begin with Today
Open Today for a daily verse and devotional. Take a moment to read, reflect, and pray. Save a verse when you want to carry it with you.
Progress and reminders can help you return. You decide the pace; a missed day is simply another chance to begin.
- Read the daily Scripture and reflection.
- Save or share a verse that you want to revisit.
- Explore devotional material when you have more time.
Read, notice, and explore
Choose a Bible translation, book, and chapter. Read a whole chapter or move through individual verses. Adjust the reading appearance and text size to make yourself comfortable.
Highlight a verse, add a note, or compare available translations. AI-assisted study and questions can offer a starting point for reflection; always return to the passage itself.
- Bundled translations are available offline; additional content may need a connection.
- The current catalog includes KJV, Reina-Valera 1909, the Simplified Chinese Union Version, and Bíblia Portuguesa Mundial, which is still under revision.
- Translation and study availability depend on language, downloads, and your plan.
Make a little room with Read to Unlock
Open Read to Unlock from Today or your profile. Grant Apple Screen Time permission and choose the apps, categories, or websites you want to limit. Set a reading goal from 1 to 60 minutes and a daily start time; the defaults are 15 minutes and 6 a.m.
Read in the dedicated Bible reader to work toward your goal. Only time with the reader visible and active counts. Leaving it, locking your phone, or opening a selection panel pauses the timer. Return to continue from your saved progress within the same daily cycle.
Completing your goal releases your selected apps and websites until the next daily start time, when a new reading cycle begins. You can pause for 1, 3, or 7 days, or stop the schedule. Both actions immediately release the restrictions.
- Your selected apps, categories, and websites are limited; your iPhone itself is not locked.
- You choose the Bible book, chapter, and translation in the reader.
- Screen Time permission is voluntary and can be revoked in iPhone Settings.
Keep more of the message
Start a recording, import supported audio, or paste text to create a sermon note. Obtain any permission you need before recording someone else or uploading their material.
After online processing, review the transcript, summary, and Scripture references. Add your own notes and explore available devotional or discussion guides. Check generated text against the recording before relying on or sharing it.
- Microphone access is needed for recording; live speech recognition has a separate permission.
- Cloud processing requires a connection and is subject to plan limits.
- Share only what you intend others with the link to read.
Return to what is on your heart
Add a request for yourself or someone else, choose a category, and set a reminder if helpful. Revisit your list, record an answer, and make space for gratitude.
Prayer records can sync with your account. Privacy controls for a prayer do not mean that its synced data is stored only on your device. Avoid including another person’s sensitive information without their permission.
Read a story. Return to Scripture.
Browse the available illustrated Bible stories and follow their Scripture references. Read at your own pace or use the available listening controls.
Stories are retellings, not a replacement for the biblical text. The story library, narration, and languages depend on released content and available voices; some content may fall back to English. Preview screenshots do not guarantee a particular story count at launch.
