When you visit this website
The marketing pages have no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration, or payment forms. Your appearance preference is stored in your browser; the page address determines the language. Our hosting service receives delivery information, including IP addresses and request details, and may retain operational or security logs. External services have their own privacy terms.
Information the app uses
Depending on your use, we process recordings, imported or pasted material, transcripts, notes, AI conversations, prayers, Bible highlights, reading progress, preferences, and feedback to provide those features and sync your content.
Onboarding information includes your nickname, language, faith journey, age range, areas where you want help, and obstacles you select. These profile answers sync to Supabase. Faith answers, prayers, notes, and reading activity may reveal religious beliefs. Avoid including another person’s sensitive information without permission.
A device identifier supports service access. Sign in with Apple supplies an account identifier and email address, which may be a private relay address. Purchase information verifies subscription access; notification tokens deliver notifications you enable.
Cloud processing and providers
Submitted recordings and text go to cloud services for transcripts, summaries, study material, and answers. Synced content is stored remotely as well as on your device. Supabase provides backend services, file storage, and sync. Soniox provides audio transcription and some generated speech. Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI are configurable AI providers; the server configuration selects the provider for a request.
Apple provides sign-in, purchases, push notifications, and system speech services. Speech recognition uses on-device processing when available and may otherwise use Apple’s servers.
Read to Unlock and Screen Time
Read to Unlock stores Apple-provided opaque tokens for your selected apps, categories, and websites, together with schedules, reading goals, time, and progress, in local storage shared by the app and its Screen Time extensions. This feature does not upload selected app identities or app usage history.
You can pause or stop blocking and revoke Screen Time permission in iPhone Settings. Signing out or deleting account data clears this feature’s personal state and restrictions. Completing a reading goal can also update your app-wide reading streak through cloud sync, so not all reading information stays solely on the device.
YouTube links and playback
When you submit a public YouTube link, we process its URL or video ID, metadata, and transcript to create your note. Public transcripts may be reused in a shared cache separate from personal account content. Depending on transcript availability, a fallback may send the video URL to Google Gemini for transcription. The embedded player connects directly to YouTube, which receives network and playback information under its own privacy terms.
Permissions and feedback
The app requests microphone access for recordings, speech recognition for live text, camera access for scanning, and notification or Screen Time permission for the features that use them. Change permissions in iPhone Settings; related features may stop working.
Feedback may include your message, an optional contact email, app and system versions, device model, language, and the context of the request. We use it to respond and troubleshoot; feedback notifications may be sent through Resend. Support emails contain what you choose to send.
How long information is kept
Stored content is retained to provide the service until you delete it or request account deletion. Operational, security, support, and legal records are retained as needed for their stated purposes. Backups, logs, provider records, and shared public-transcript caches are handled separately and are not necessarily removed immediately with an account. Contact us for questions about a particular record or retention request.
Deleting content and your account
Use Profile → Account → Delete account to remove account content and share links. Cleanup of files in Supabase Storage and Soniox runs asynchronously and may retry after account data is removed.
Deletion audit records retain previous internal account IDs, status, timestamps, and counts to track completion and retries. A hashed device identifier is retained to prevent referral abuse. A random device identifier remains in iOS Keychain to support subsequent anonymous service access. These records are distinct from deleted notes and prayers.
Deleting the app or account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
Your requests and policy updates
Contact the Sermon Pocket team at support@calvityai.com to ask about privacy or request access, correction, or deletion. We may need information to verify the account or content involved. We publish policy updates here and communicate meaningful changes in the app or on the website as appropriate.
